Something about Silhouettes

There is something elegant about a silhouette. The classic silhouette art and most recognized was used for portraits - side profiles of ladies during the turn of the century. These silhouettes were typically black placed on a lighter background. When used in jewelry, they appeared in cameo broaches, pins, and necklaces. 


The modern silhouette is just as elegant but takes on a more modern appeal, especially since silhouettes can now be adhered directly to your wall.
