Mom's Special Decorative Touch

When decorating your child's room, take into consideration your own ideas and your own "look" preferences. It really helps to see what someone else's idea of "pretty" is but you have your own idea of "pretty" and that's the idea to pursue.

The room you are decorating is the room you will walk into everyday and the same room your child will keep as a memory. You may not think of the room as a memory in the present moment, but that's exactly what the room will be in your child's future recollections. It may also seem rather trivial, but I remember how my room looked like growing up and I know my room had my mother's touch.

What does a mother's touch mean? It means that there was something undoubtedly recognizable in the room's decor that said "that's my mom". Whether it is a pattern, a color, a theme, words, or a specific object, what a great gift for your child to infuse a little bit of mom into the decor.

Perhaps there is something special about your child that you want to take as the room's theme - a color, an image, a theme, a pattern? Whatever "it" may be add a little "mom" to it. Childhood is fleeting and if you have the upper hand now in decorating your child's room, take it. Yes, they do grow up so fast and the day may come when your cute little one will grow into the teen years and ask to paint the walls of his or her room black...yikes. So enjoy the early years and add a little bit of mom with a whole lot of heart.

Visit our website Murals For Kids for a large selection of kids wall decor designs and ideas. We provide alternate images for many of our designs to help moms find their unique idea of "pretty".

Here are a few images of one design applied to different decorative themes.
